I tried with diferent approaches : 1) . I disabled the original mouse [ no batteries ] . Instead use another mouse with different transiver. I believed that if the keyboard is the only device connected to the transciever the linux-install would discover it . Unfortunately it did not work . The same issue [ test keyboard fails/ for linux install ] 2) I tried to use another keyboard [ wifi from antother HP All-in-ones PC ] The linux install fails . 3) I used new batteries . The keyboard/mouase work in Windows via hardware as well as touch screen . Unfortunately I do not have any wired keyboard . So I tried to get additional information from seller's tech support . 4) The Linux specialist told me that HP [ and other PC manufacturers ] use a new type of connectivity particularly for mouse/keyboard and that might be the issue Also he told me that using wired keyboard might not be the solution and that the sure thing woulkd be to switch to laptop because the keyboard does not need any "special" connevtivity . 5) Based on that discussion I decided to return back the PC . I am sorry for not being able to test other configurations . My background is in MF techsupport and I know that the install is the first impression od any software . With that in mind as a linux users for more than 20 years, I believe that this intall isue should be fixed . Rather to have new opensuse users/enthusiasts it will detter the old linux user to continue using it . I hope that the laptop solution will work and , honestly, I hate to go back into windows "world" . Thanks for your interest and I wish you the best in solving this issue.
