https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=799680 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=799680#c0 Summary: Should be possible to set a simple alarm using kalarm without having akonadi running Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Factory Version: 12.3 Milestone 2 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Applications AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: thnielsen@novell.com QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: Customer Blocker: Yes Initially i opened a kde bug on this: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=313614 but over there they said that it is a openSuSE choice to require akonadi running, so now i open the bug here. To make it short, the requirements of akonadi in kalarm, makes kalarm unavailable to me, and there is not a lot of other "alarm"s avail. Here my initial description: "if akonadi is not running, no alarms can be set in kalarm, and AFAIK, there is no other plasma avail that allows to program a simple alarm later today, when i have to leave work, to be in time to pick up my son from school :-) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.stop akonadi 2.click on kalarm in ("boite a miniatures"(red:system tray)) the little icons, i forgot the original name, where klipper, networkmanager and friends sits 3. kalarm pops up ith a message saying "go away" akonadi is not running." -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
