https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=475569 Summary: (System/Windows) Notifications do no longer appear after latest Factory upgrade. Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Alpha 0 Platform: i586 OS/Version: SuSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Workspace AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: tittiatwork@hotmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Created an attachment (id=272587) --> (https://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=272587) Print Screen of the Notification settings User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.6) Gecko/2009012700 SUSE/3.0.6-2.3 Firefox/3.0.6 After the latest Factory upgrade, which included QT 4.5, the System/Windows Notifications do no longer work. If I set notifications for a New Window (see print screen). I would expect that when I open a new window, I would hear a sound, something is written in a file and a system message is shown. However none of it happens. This is happening with all system/window notifications. Whatever I set up, I do not hear or see anything. Also the logon and logoff sounds are no longer there. The strangest however is that when I test the sounds, they are all working. Also I have full sound from Amarok and Juk. So it is not a hardware problem, nor is it an issue with Phonon. Somehow it seems that Knotify is not working properly. I have also attached .xsession-errors, for maybe further analyses Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: No additional steps are required. It happened with the latest Factory upgrade. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
