https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=227765 ------- Comment #2 from jarig@o2.pl 2006-12-12 17:30 MST ------- This problem is well known to many notebook users. But this time it seems to be much more unfriendly to user. There are three problems/bugs associated with that bug: 1. There is no frequency info associated with any Core Duo/Core 2 Duo in centrio-scaling driver 2. Even there is no info in the driver, cpufreq can`t get informations about cpu scaling from ACPI BIOS 3. Even it have such informations (cpuinfo_max_freq is set propertly), then there is no possibility to change scaling-max-freq to same value as cpuinfo_max_freq. This is not simple problem. If it would be simple then it could be fixed by simple "cpufreq-set -c 0 --max 1.83GHz" command or just by echoing scaling-max-freq Greetings Piotr Klimczak -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
