http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=960470 Bug ID: 960470 Summary: Network setup for wireless should set encryption method Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 42.1 Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation Assignee: yast2-maintainers@suse.de Reporter: axel.braun@gmx.de QA Contact: jsrain@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- During Installation, network can be configured. When doing this for a wireless network, it can be scanned for networks, and selected from the list. So far so good. But after a network was selected, the encryption method is not set to the one of the selected network. When you just enter your passphrase, the network settings are saved and activated, but no feedback is given that the network is not connected. That took me some rounds to find out why the WIFI does not connect. After encryption was set manually to WPA2, everything worked fine -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
