https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=757229 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=757229#c0 Summary: ccid: unknown ccid version 10.00 supported only 1.00, 1.10 Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.1 Version: Final Platform: i686 OS/Version: openSUSE 12.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Security AssignedTo: security-team@suse.de ReportedBy: Ulrich.Windl@rz.uni-regensburg.de QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:11.0) Gecko/20120312 Firefox/11.0 SeaMonkey/2.8 Trying to play with my Reiner SCT "cyberJack RFID komfort" ("ITSEC E2" certified) chip card terminal, I found out that it doesn't work with the software supplied with openSUSE: The "cyberJack" driver wouldn't work, and the CCID driver also would not. At least the last one seemed to talk with the SCT: ifdhandler[3271]: skipped 1 class/vendor specific interface descriptors ifdhandler[3271]: ccid: unknown ccid version 10.00 supported only 1.00, 1.10 ifdhandler[3271]: usb:/dev/bus/usb/006/005: initialization failed (driver ccid) Now what made me wonder is that my SCT obviously supports CCID version 10, while the software support only version 1.10 at most. I feel worried about the huge gap. The USB device ID is: Bus 006 Device 005: ID 0c4b:0501 Reiner SCT Kartensysteme GmbH (Product: cyberJack RFID komfort) There is not much documentation in the manuals on getting things done, either. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Configure ID "usb:0c4b/0501" for "ccid" in /etc/openct.conf 2. Connect cyberJack RFID komfort 3. "openct-tool list" Actual Results: No card reader is found Expected Results: Card reader should be found. Preferrably it should be working. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
