https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=444780 User wolfgang@rosenauer.org added comment https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=444780#c63 --- Comment #63 from Wolfgang Rosenauer <wolfgang@rosenauer.org> 2008-11-22 14:46:32 MST --- Most of the previous comments are not really understandable. to use the mentioned workarounds you need mozilla-nss-tools installed it's not installed by default because you usually don't need them for normal operation certutil: function failed: An I/O error occurred during security authorization. This happens most likely because the cert9.db and key4.db which seem to be in this directory are broken ones. (In reply to comment #57 from Robby Verberne)
so imho to run "certutil -L -X -d sql:~/.local/var/pki/nssdb/ must be done with the cert and key inplace ?
Please read my description in comment #47 carefully again and notice the difference between cert8/cert9 and key3/key4 (In reply to comment #59 from Harald Koenig)
same for me: I updated to latest factory and created a new, clean account.
loggin into bugzilla.novell.com the first time I do not get ask if the password shall be saved. the "saved passwords" list in preferences still is empty.
here is the version list of installed rpms for reference:
harald harald > rpm -qa --last | egrep -i 'mozilla|xul'
Don't forget to check libnsssharedhelper0 version. 1.0.4 should be in Factory and it shouldn't fiddle at all with the database by default. Harald, if you still have 1.0.3 please update to 1.0.4 and don't try to fiddle with it. In case you are interested in sharing your NSS database between different applications we can discuss that by mail. Once everything is working as expected we/I will write a Wiki page. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
