https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=839074 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=839074#c0 Summary: A regression in mesa 9.2 or 9.1, some games and programs no longer start. Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Factory Version: 13.1 Milestone 3 Platform: 64bit OS/Version: openSUSE 12.3 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: X.Org AssignedTo: bnc-team-xorg-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: novell.com@marekpasnikowski.name QAContact: xorg-maintainer-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:23.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/23.0 When I used the OpenSUSE 12.3 X11:XOrg project repo to get the new drivers, some of my games stopped starting properly. Splice (based on the Unity engine) presents maximised window with black content, no sound. Bastion (C# game) does not even open any window. Super Hexagon freezes the image under the window in its frame. Rosetta Stone (Adobe Air(?) application) through wine crashes halfway through loading procedure. When I disabled the repo and did zypper dup to revert the changes, all those programs run properly again. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Fetch the new drivers from the Factory or X11:XOrg repo. 2. Run the affected program. Actual Results: Some games/programs do not start properly. I can do all the testing and debugging. Just tell me which tools to run and how to use them. I will forward all the data needed to find the regression. I give it the major severity as it affects select few programs. However the affected software is totally unusable. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
