https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=811690 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=811690#c2 --- Comment #2 from Moritz Duge <colAflash@gmx.net> 2013-03-26 12:14:36 UTC --- Tested with openSUSE 12.3 KDE and a "Huawei U8860" with Android 4.0.3 which has an 31.3 GB sdcard (sdc in dmesg) and 2.18 GB internal memory (sdb in dmesg). The sdcard is being displayed by KDE, but the internal memory is not! One important difference to my Galaxy S2 seems to be, that the sdcard of the Huawei shows up with partition table (see sdc and sdc1 in dmesg). And the internal memory of the Huawei shows up without partitions (just sdb) like the internal memory and the sdcard in my Galaxy S2 also do. So maybe KDE want's to have a partition table. But it's normal, that a device can just have a filesystem without partitions around it. And with openSUSE 12.2 KDE and also openSUSE 12.3 GNOME that works fine. Just openSUSE 12.3 KDE seems to have a problem with it, excepting I do the VirtualBox workaround (see first post). ======== ATTACHING THE PHONE ======== 2013-03-26T13:04:16.977142+01:00 myhost kernel: [ 4586.636181] usb 2-1.2: new high-speed USB device number 15 using ehci-pci 2013-03-26T13:04:17.066159+01:00 myhost kernel: [ 4586.725586] usb 2-1.2: New USB device found, idVendor=12d1, idProduct=1037 2013-03-26T13:04:17.066214+01:00 myhost kernel: [ 4586.725597] usb 2-1.2: New USB device strings: Mfr=2, Product=3, SerialNumber=4 2013-03-26T13:04:17.066230+01:00 myhost kernel: [ 4586.725603] usb 2-1.2: Product: Android 2013-03-26T13:04:17.066237+01:00 myhost kernel: [ 4586.725607] usb 2-1.2: Manufacturer: Android 2013-03-26T13:04:17.066240+01:00 myhost kernel: [ 4586.725612] usb 2-1.2: SerialNumber: 10C61F1EBAF1 2013-03-26T13:04:17.068132+01:00 myhost kernel: [ 4586.726785] scsi33 : usb-storage 2-1.2:1.0 2013-03-26T13:04:17.072742+01:00 myhost mtp-probe: checking bus 2, device 15: "/sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.0/usb2/2-1/2-1.2" 2013-03-26T13:04:17.074533+01:00 myhost mtp-probe: bus: 2, device: 15 was not an MTP device 2013-03-26T13:04:17.157939+01:00 myhost laptop-mode: Laptop mode 2013-03-26T13:04:17.158849+01:00 myhost laptop-mode: enabled, not active 2013-03-26T13:04:17.195754+01:00 myhost laptop-mode: Laptop mode 2013-03-26T13:04:17.198629+01:00 myhost laptop-mode: enabled, not active 2013-03-26T13:04:18.071160+01:00 myhost kernel: [ 4587.728522] scsi 33:0:0:0: Direct-Access Linux File-CD Gadget 0000 PQ: 0 ANSI: 2 2013-03-26T13:04:18.071199+01:00 myhost kernel: [ 4587.728972] sd 33:0:0:0: Attached scsi generic sg1 type 0 2013-03-26T13:04:18.073221+01:00 myhost kernel: [ 4587.730950] scsi 33:0:0:1: Direct-Access Linux File-CD Gadget 0000 PQ: 0 ANSI: 2 2013-03-26T13:04:18.073241+01:00 myhost kernel: [ 4587.731281] sd 33:0:0:1: Attached scsi generic sg2 type 0 2013-03-26T13:04:18.075160+01:00 myhost kernel: [ 4587.732729] scsi 33:0:0:2: CD-ROM Linux File-CD Gadget 0000 PQ: 0 ANSI: 2 2013-03-26T13:04:18.077163+01:00 myhost kernel: [ 4587.735210] sd 33:0:0:0: [sdb] Attached SCSI removable disk 2013-03-26T13:04:18.079160+01:00 myhost kernel: [ 4587.736697] sd 33:0:0:1: [sdc] Attached SCSI removable disk 2013-03-26T13:04:18.079185+01:00 myhost kernel: [ 4587.737067] sr0: scsi3-mmc drive: 0x/0x caddy 2013-03-26T13:04:18.081062+01:00 myhost kernel: [ 4587.737522] sr 33:0:0:2: Attached scsi CD-ROM sr0 2013-03-26T13:04:18.081102+01:00 myhost kernel: [ 4587.737649] sr 33:0:0:2: Attached scsi generic sg3 type 5 ======== SELECTING "activate usb" ON THE PHONE ======== 2013-03-26T13:04:34.490175+01:00 myhost kernel: [ 4604.126417] sd 33:0:0:1: [sdc] 61315072 512-byte logical blocks: (31.3 GB/29.2 GiB) 2013-03-26T13:04:34.490233+01:00 myhost kernel: [ 4604.127414] sd 33:0:0:1: [sdc] No Caching mode page present 2013-03-26T13:04:34.490241+01:00 myhost kernel: [ 4604.127425] sd 33:0:0:1: [sdc] Assuming drive cache: write through 2013-03-26T13:04:34.493138+01:00 myhost kernel: [ 4604.129550] sd 33:0:0:1: [sdc] No Caching mode page present 2013-03-26T13:04:34.493162+01:00 myhost kernel: [ 4604.129559] sd 33:0:0:1: [sdc] Assuming drive cache: write through 2013-03-26T13:04:34.498141+01:00 myhost kernel: [ 4604.134587] sdc: sdc1 2013-03-26T13:04:36.536220+01:00 myhost kernel: [ 4606.170281] sd 33:0:0:0: [sdb] 4268032 512-byte logical blocks: (2.18 GB/2.03 GiB) 2013-03-26T13:04:36.537138+01:00 myhost kernel: [ 4606.171309] sd 33:0:0:0: [sdb] No Caching mode page present 2013-03-26T13:04:36.537160+01:00 myhost kernel: [ 4606.171321] sd 33:0:0:0: [sdb] Assuming drive cache: write through 2013-03-26T13:04:36.539133+01:00 myhost kernel: [ 4606.172967] sd 33:0:0:0: [sdb] No Caching mode page present 2013-03-26T13:04:36.539151+01:00 myhost kernel: [ 4606.172975] sd 33:0:0:0: [sdb] Assuming drive cache: write through 2013-03-26T13:04:36.542123+01:00 myhost kernel: [ 4606.176127] sdb: -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
