However, once this update gets accepted, we will also need to update gedit to prevent it from crashing under some circumstances when used with this plugin enabled (as long as this plugin itself was not working, it was not an issue of course). I will also submit the patched gedit package. Please let me know if it would be better if I opened a new bug for the gedit submission.
