https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=475334 Summary: KMail IMAP does not work after suspend or disconnected network Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Applications AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: uli.2001@gmx.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- I use KMail on one network on my laptop, for example with the IMAP Inbox open, then use suspend-to-RAM, and wake up again to use it on a different network. Then usually KMail does not work properly. In the lower right corner, the status bar is at 0%, showing one message (in German) saying "Checking Inbox" or so, with a "cancel"-button next to it, and another one saying "Accountname/Inbox / Checking..." with no cancel button. When I press cancel in the first one, it disappears, but the second one stays. Then I might get a dialog box saying that IMAP was disconnected and afterwards, I can look at messages in the Inbox (they are loaded correctly over the new connection) and I can go to a different folder to look at messages there. But all the time "Accountname/Inbox / Checking..." stays in the lower right corner. Next I go back to the Inbox, and the message list and message preview disappear, hidden by the usual gray/black message "fetching folder contents, please wait" (or so). This normally disappears quickly, but now it doesn't, and "Accountname/Inbox / Checking..." stays at 0% in the corner. Well, it seems like KMail is confused by the previously failed try to check the inbox. The only solution is exiting KMail and starting it again. The same seems to happen if I don't use suspend to ram, but simply go from a wired to a wireless connection. I am using KDE4 from the opensuse repository: kde4-kmail-4.2.0-89.4 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
