https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=486833 Summary: Ending Virtual box VM session disables 3D effects (possible crash of WM) Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: x86 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: rschweikert@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Attempted to set up a VM using Virtualbox OSE, the setup did not work (unrelated issue but may be important). Closing the VM window via the "close button (X)" in the window decoration causes the disablement of 3D effects. I suspect that the window manager crashes and we fall back to a different window manager. This causes all windows to be moved to workspace 1. It is possible to reload/restart the 3D window manager by checking the "Enable desktop effects" check box in the "Simple CompizConfig Settings Manager" The behavior might be triggered by the fact the the VM creation didn't work and there is some unhandeled error condition floating around. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
