https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=727222 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=727222#c9 --- Comment #9 from Richard Brown <RBrownCCB@opensuse.org> 2011-11-09 22:19:21 UTC --- Andrew, You are correct Dock works perfectly with your above fix - the issues I referred to that caused Dock to be disabled by upstream have been packaged and fixed by us, and I can confirm with my own testing that dock does appear to be ready. Alternate-Tab is another matter though - while your above fix does make it show in the interface again, there are a number of issues which upstream have not yet fixed, such as https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=661281 and https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=663064 I've been able to reproduce both of these issues with the alternate-tab we currently have packaged, I haven't been able to successfully get any of the patches suggested to work, and there are no outstanding upstream commits to the upstream package for alternate-tab. Can you confirm that in your 'flawless' tests, neither of the above issues occur? Do we have anyone who could perhaps help squish these issues in alternate-tab? Even if it was all working perfectly, timing means we're not going to be able to get this in for 12.1 before release So I think the best way forward is to take this time before the 12.1 maintenance window opens to see we can get alternate-tab behaving as well as dock is. When we can submit maintenance requests we'll be in a position to patch either dock, or ideally both dock and alternate-tab at the same time -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
