http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=623106 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=623106#c0 Summary: iPod/iPhone not detected properly on KDE but works on Gnome Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Mobile Devices AssignedTo: mobile-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: ash25.icon@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Opera/9.80 (X11; Linux x86_64; U; en) Presto/2.6.30 Version/10.60 I connected my Apple iPod touch 3G using the USB cable to my PC. It is detected properly on Gnome. I'm able to browse the files in it and Rhythmbox is able to show the music on the ipod. But on KDE neither of these two work. Another person is facing the same problem with his iPhone over here: http://forums.opensuse.org/english/get-help-here/hardware/442064-opensuse-11... Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Login into a KDE session 2. Connect USB cable from iPod to PC 3. Check for any newly mounted devices 4. Open up Rhythmbox to check for any iPod/iPhone detected Actual Results: Device notifier only gives options for opening with Digikam but no option to browse the files. Rhythmbox does not show any connected devices either. Expected Results: The files in iPod/iPhone should be viewable in Dolphin or equivalent. Rhythmbox should show iPod/iPhone and all the songs present on the device. These two are very much the results with Gnome. So KDE session should also give the same results. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
