libnetcontrol fails to initialize if NetworkManager is running.
Weird, I have no problem here on Leap with libvirtd and NetworkManager running. (In reply to Michael Jansen from comment #3)
1. the missing virbr0 was solved by a) running the *yast2 virtualization* module followed by a "virsh netstart virbr0". With my 13.2 install it was on autostart. Probably forgot i changed that.
The default network is not autostarted by default, and creates the virbr0.
The real problem was the timeout i experienced when i tried to use these. I tried to find out which change fixed that one but could not. What i can tell is that my packages listed up there did not install everything the yast2 wizard installs. Notably absents which are not pulled in by dependencies are
- qemu-kvm - virt-viewer - libspice-controller
None of these is related to the network setup.
But even after undoing all those changes (zypper remove) and others (from rpm -q -a --latest and snapper diff) i am unable to recreate the condition.
