https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=754592 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=754592#c0 Summary: perl ExtUtils::MakeMaker adds empty RPATH Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.1 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: openSUSE 12.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: mls@suse.com ReportedBy: suse-beta@cboltz.de QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de CC: pth@suse.com Found By: Beta-Customer Blocker: --- perl ExtUtils::MakeMaker adds an empry RPATH. Two weeks ago this caused a build failure in factory (for the apparmor package in my case). In the meantime, the brp checks were relaxed - but nevertheless this should be fixed in perl's ExtUtils::MakeMaker. Quoting Guido Berhoerster, from http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-packaging/2012-03/msg00098. ----- * Guido Berhoerster <gber@opensuse.org> [2012-03-13 14:12]:
Perl's ExtUtils::MakeMaker should probably also be fixed, it seems to insist on setting RPATH, even if only to an empty value.
I forgot to add, a patch to do that can be found here: http://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/perl-devel/2012-January/044951. ----- It would probably make sense to include this patch in the perl package (but I'll let the decision up to you - I'm not a perl expert ;-) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
