I do not know what you mean here. I suppose you are running system with X right? So if you press ctrl-alt-f10, you will be put to a text console with syslog. If kernel spits out something just before it dies, it's likely to be visible in this console. So it would be good if you can start your reproduction load and then switch to this console to see what kernel writes before it dies.
Also what does mean frozen?
AFAICT, non-functional. No response to the keyboard, capslock or numlock had no effect; no mouse pointer movement; no video updates, the screen was completely static. I did not try to ping it from another computer. OK, so the kernel probably died with interrupts disabled. Good to know.
