https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=388339 Summary: Software Manager import does not select the right version Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: Joseph.Comfort@asu.edu QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: Customer To deal with some java issues, I had to replace x86_64 rpms for some packages (e.g., Firefox as well as the java ones) with i586 versions. (Will the 64/32-bit confusion finally get fixed up with Sun's open sourcing the code?) I keep an up-to-date 'Export' rpm list from Software Manager. A few days ago, I had to reinstall the system from scratch. The 'Import' feature is wonderful -- except that I got the x86-64 rpms instead of the i586 ones that I needed. It was tedious to determine which ones needed to be replaced and to do that. The 'export' file has version information in it, but it was apparently not used. I hope this fault can be repaired.
