https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=812080 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=812080#c0 Summary: iptraf was silently replaced by a really buggy iptraf-ng this lacks a lot of features Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.2 Version: Final Platform: All OS/Version: openSUSE 12.2 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: office@hantsch.co.at QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:19.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/19.0 I do not know who decided to replaye a perfectly working "iptraf v3.0.0" with a really poor "iptraf-ng v1.1.3.1", but this is absolute useless. It is not possible to use the -B feature, therefore it cannot run in background. I also tried to write a logfile, which is also impossible. I highly recommend to re-establish the original iptraf v3.0.0 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Simply try it. 2.iptraf -l eth0 -t 1 -B -L /tmp/iptraf.log Actual Results: v3.0.0 returns the user to the console prompt and writes to the logfile after the timeout. The given example should create a file /tmp/iptraf.log and finish it after one minute. NO CHANCE with iptraf-ng v1.1.3.1 !!! Expected Results: The same results as with optiginal version v3.0.0 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
