https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=685545 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=685545#c0 Summary: multimedia key are recognized but not processed Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: X.Org AssignedTo: bnc-team-xorg-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: bluedzins@wp.pl QAContact: xorg-maintainer-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- Multimedia keys (here) = mute, volume up, volume down. I checked Gnome 2, KDE 3, KDE 4. In all those DM the behaviour is similar -- audio control is notified about key pressed, but does not do anything about it (exception: Gnome2 -- on mute it turns off sound, NOTE: it does not switch mute, as it should). After several testing, I thought it could be keyboard problem (Logitech UltraX Premium), so I binded (with xmodmap) those key symbols to regular keys (+,-, enter on keypad). Outcome -- the same. Ok, so how the apps behave, let's say I use KDE3 and I press volume down -- kmix popup shows up, and that's it. The volume is not changed. After several seconds it closes. Let's say I press volume up -- and again, popup shows up, but volume is not changed. The behaviour was tested with pulse audio installed & enabled, and also with pulse audio disabled. No change in behaviour. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
