What I see is the second, on-board, sound chip that is not used. Before updating on 10.3, two soundcards were found. I didn't change anything in the BIOS at update time. After the update, the soundcard in question is still visible and working under windows. dual:/home/ghh # hwinfo --sound 21: PCI 14.2: 0403 Audio device [Created at pci.310] UDI: /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/pci_1002_4383 Unique ID: 5Dex.dAdK5mTE+87 SysFS ID: /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:14.2 SysFS BusID: 0000:00:14.2 Hardware Class: sound Model: "ATI SBx00 Azalia" Vendor: pci 0x1002 "ATI Technologies Inc" Device: pci 0x4383 "SBx00 Azalia" SubVendor: pci 0x1043 "ASUSTeK Computer Inc."
