https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=458152 Summary: Interaction between Clock setting and Updating Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: jimomura@pathcom.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Community User I have not been using my 10.3 (64-bit) machine much lately -- about 2 - 3 times per week and lately there is a strange set of problems and interactions: 1. The computer is generally loosing time. 2. On changing the time, it seems to trigger a "software update". At the least, the repositories seem to get updated. 3. In one instance, I have a note that it interfered with "Real Player", which I guess I was using at the time. Here are some notes I wrote down: Nov. 21, 18:34: Set time +5 min. This caused a software update & interfered w/RealPlayer. Restarting RealPlayer fixed it. Nov. 30, 20:36 Set time +30 min. (I did not mention a refresh, but it might have happened.) Dec. 7, 20:32: Set time +23 min. Setting time now causes software update? Dec. 10, 17:25: (*after running Online Update for an actual update) Set time set time +10 min. Triggered repository update. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
