a test project with those packages patched : home:dimstar:bnc751211
Atri will do some testings with those packages.
OK, packages tested. Here's a report:- Method of testing:- Open Network Settings and click on "Forget network" for all existing wireless connections. Open nm-connection-editor to confirm that all wifi networks are deleted from the list; if any more present also delete them from nm-connection-editor (these changes might require root-password because the patched packages are not installed yet). Now disable network and install all packages from above repo. Restart computer, just to be safe. Now enable back wireless networking and click on any one of the available wireless networks. Without patched packages: this would have resulted in a dialog-box popping up asking for the root password. With packages from home:dimstar:bnc751211: Root password prompt does not show up and the computer connects to the network all fine and dandy! Open nm-connection-editor and see properties of the wireless network you just connected to successfully (without requiring root passwd). The "Available to all users" option for this connection is unchecked like it should be. Summary: This works great! Anything else to test? I haven't noticed anything amiss as a result of these patches yet. So I guess these are good to go in now. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
