https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=797124 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=797124#c0 Summary: xorg-x11-Xvfb doesn't depend on xkeyboard-config Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Factory Version: 12.3 Milestone 0 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: X.Org AssignedTo: bnc-team-xorg-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: jkt@gentoo.org QAContact: xorg-maintainer-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/534.34 (KHTML, like Gecko) rekonq/2.0.50 Safari/534.34 Unless the xkeyboard-config package is installed, running Xvfb results in the following error: XKB: Failed to compile keymap Keyboard initialization failed. This could be a missing or incorrect setup of xkeyboard-config. Fatal server error: Failed to activate core devices. This looks like a missing dependency because the Xvfb cannot even start. Reproduced by the Trojita package [1] on OBS, I don't run OpenSuSE myself. The bug affects all SuSE versions currently in OBS, including SLES, Factory, Tumbleweed and the latest OpenSuSE release.
