https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=465632 Summary: encrypted partition mounting: provide option for postponing mount Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: bluedzins@wp.pl QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- encrypted partition mounting: provide option for postponing mount When you are about to install new system, and you are in expert partinioner you can set if the partition should be mounted automatically or not. No big deal for regular partitions. But for encrypted partition automounting means the system will ask about password in early stage of booting. However there are pretty sane cases where such early mount is not needed at all -- for example /home partition. Thus the wish: provide an option + means for postponing mount. For runlevel 5, just before DM kicks in, and for runlevel 3 it would be moment just before normal logging in. In the first case, it would be great if the password would be given in nice GUI manner. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
