https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=861290 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=861290#c0 Summary: IBus: cannot compose characters on LibreOffce (KDE, X11) once it lost the focus Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 13.1 Version: Final Platform: x86 OS/Version: openSUSE 13.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: X11 Applications AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: ftake@geeko.jp QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Opera/9.80 (X11; Linux x86_64) Presto/2.12.388 Version/12.15 We can input Japanese characters through IBus on LibreOffice applications such as Writer just after launching them. However, after switching to another application by clicking its window and switching back to LibreOffice, we cannot input Japanese characters regardless of the input mode of the current input method engine. This problem happens only on LibreOffice bindings that uses XIM, (i.e., libreoffice-kde4, -kde, -x11). Thereby a workaround is using GNOME binding, which uses GTK IM modules. Since the IBus launching script sets OOO_FORCE_DESKTOP=gnome, users can use the GNOME binding by installing a libreoffice-gnome package. Another workaround is using another IM framework such as fcitx.
