http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=551637 Summary: zypper install-new-recommends installs unneeded -32bit packages Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: libzypp AssignedTo: zypp-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: cmorve69@yahoo.es QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Community User On a basically fresh openSUSE 11.2 RC2 x86-64 Gnome LiveCD install. Given # zypper dup -D --no-recommends .. Nothing to do. # zypper dup -D .. 192 new packages to install. Overall download size: 388.6 MiB. After the operation, additional 936.0 MiB will be used. this makes no sense: # LC_ALL=C zypper inr -D .. 344 new packages to install. Overall download size: 420.6 MiB. After the operation, additional 1.0 GiB will be used. Notice that everything zypper dup does is install new packages... no downgrades, no removes, etc. Everything zypper dup is doing is just to plain install new, recommended, packages. In this situation zypper inr should be doing exactly the same, not installing (344-192) extra (-32bit) packages. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
