But it fails to save ecdsa keys Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.1 Version: RC 1 Platform: All OS/Version: SuSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: nrickert@ameritech.net QAContact: jsrain@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:7.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/7.0.1 When installing to replace an earlier system, the installer saves a copy of the ssh host keys from "/etc/ssh" in the prior system. It later copies those into "/etc/ssh" in the new installation. It currently does not save the ecdsa keys. It only saves the rsa, dsa, and old ssh1 compatible host keys. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Install (new install) on top of an older system that has ssh host keys. Install with DVD or network CD. 2.After the install, check "/etc/ssh" 3. Actual Results: The ecdsa key (elliptic cryptography host key) was not saved. The other keys were saved. Expected Results: All keys should have been saved. Note that this is mainly a consistency issue. Either all keys should be saved, or no keys should be saved. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
