Now as the solver supports arch changes on distribution upgrade, such an arch change is possible. The only thing that currently prevents it, is a special rule that fixates the installed rpm packages architecture. This is done to prevent the solver from accidentally upgrading the whole systems architecture. This rule could be dropped, if a 64 bit kernel is running in the instsys and the installed rpm's architecture is less. YaST could e.g. explicitly ask in that case, whether to upgrade the architecture or to stay with the current one. (We must also take care the rule is disabled, if a 64 bit kernel is running and a 64bit rpm was manually explicitly selected.) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
