Not sure what happened with comment 34 but could not replicate correction after clean install of opensuse. Debug kernel from the repo hasn't shed any light on the issue as per below attachments. Haven't yet been able to get the debug kernel from above link in comment 7 to work. System won't boot for me with this kernel. Nobody has yet been able to explain why.
