https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=781875 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=781875#c0 Summary: No "Authorization Dialog" for WLAN (GNOME Network Manager Applet after resume) Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.2 Version: Final Platform: i686 OS/Version: openSUSE 12.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: dirk@goe.net QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:15.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/15.0 After resuming the machine from suspend to RAM, the automatic reconnection to secured infrastructure does not work. The NetworkManager applet states that "authentication required", but no dialog is shown. This state times out after a while stating that network access is not possible. Then the network in question might fall out of the list. It is brought back by switching off and on the WLAN (everything is working then as expected and experienced in other environments on the same machine. But sometimes the icon does not change from connecting to connected even if working without issues). The password in the dialog shown then is already set, so a problem getting to the WLAN key does not seem to be an issue. This off-on switching (with the funny mini slider) is impossible if the applet is stuck in the "authentication required" state which is not very logical or convenient. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Login to GNOME session and use the Network Manager Applet to access any secured WLAN 2. Suspend the machine 3. Wake the machine - no dialog shown (but "auth req" appears in applet blocking the switch 4. Wait for timeout 5. Off-on switch the network, chose the desired network and simply click "connect" in the pre-password-filled dialog Actual Results: Not connecting to secured WLAN after resume. Expected Results: Should automatically reconnect as it was working in the Ubuntu 11.04 GNOME environment on the same machine. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
