http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=603693 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=603693#c0 Summary: Expert partitioner is hard to use from keyoard Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: Milestone 6 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: pmladek@novell.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: Development Blocker: --- I have big problems to edit partitions in YaST without mouse. It was easier in openSUSE-11.2. My steps: 1. open the expert partitioner 2. select an device, e.g. /dev/sda1 3. press [Alt e] to edit the device setting 4. do what you like and press [Alt F] to save the device seting Result: The "Accept" button has the focus. You can't select another device easily from the keyboard. Suggestion: 1. the "Hard Discs" section should have a hot-key, so you could move there easily from the keyboard. 2. it would be nice to remember what widget had focus when you started to edit the device setting. If you stop editing the device setting, it should put the focus back to the original widget. Or something like this. BTW: I would rework the Expert partitioner to allow more effective editing. For example, the "Hard disks" section already is a kind of table. I allow to modify the values also in this view. It would be possible to navigate between the cells via arrow keys. Well, this is another story. I should probably open a fate entry for this ;-) -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
