(I have no LAN-Cable attached.) 1st Try: During Installation i changed Network Settings for WLAN (SSID+WPA-Pass) Result: Installation-Routine "Test Internet" => "No Network available" Then, as User, KNetworkManager failed to get a wireless Connection. Futile Attempts to fix it via ifconfig or YAST: .. not possible .. use KNetworkManager . .. :-( => New Installation 2nd Try: Disabled WLAN-Adapter at Boot before Installation. "Skip Internet Test" => Filled up with Errors: .. No Internet .. failed .. Repository .. => Cold Shutdown, MBR erased, new Installation. 3rd Try: Enabled WLAN-Adapter at Boot, No LAN-Cable before Installation. During Installation nothing changed at "Network". => Error: Yast2: No Network active Even that i knew, i had no Internet, i chose: Test Internet via LAN. => only one scaring Error: FAILED Nevertheless i pressed the "continue"-Button and: => NO more Errors! Finally everything went fine with > User > KNetworkmanager > WLAN > YOU .. Conclusion: This is totally confusing to any unexperienced User. If i know, i don't have Internet during Installation, it's normal to "Skip Internet Test". Otherwise you have to implement a *big* Warning: "If you don't have Internet, don't choose "Skip Internet Test" but "Test Internet" and prepare for a "FAILED"". -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
