But my phone is not set to mtp or ptp mode, but to block-device mode and that's what I wan't!!! Tested with Fedora 18 x86_64 (KDE 4.9.4) and got the same problem. Tested with Mint 14 (KDE 4.9.3) and worked fine (no problem). New finding in openSUSE 12.3 KDE: I opened a Dolphin filemanager before attaching the phone and watched the panel "places" (Seitenleiste "Orte") while attaching the phone and clicking "activate usb storage" on the phone. The phone didn't appeared automatically in the "places" panel, but after closing Dolphin and reopening it the internal phone-storage and the sdcard where present in the "places" panel. Looks like some KDE internal event is not generated or doesn't reaches the device plasmoid and Dolphin when the storage behind sdb and sdc become present. Maybe the event which should do that became restricted to sd*X (with partition number, because it worked with the partition of the sdcard in the Huawei phone).
Maybe<<< (didn't tested) something which got fixed in KDE 4.10.1. Will there be a KDE 4.10.1 update for openSUSE 12.3? Or just via using the KDE-Stable repo?
