--- Comment #5 from John Hsing
I tried it and guilt is "working" again, at least it starts. How compatible it is with the latest version of git has to be seen. But I do not expect big API changes with git anymore and guilt should not use a whitelist for git versions.
I expect this is the fix: 1.5.*) ;; # git config 1.6.*) ;; # git config 1.7.*) ;; # git config + 1.8.*) ;; # git config *) die "Unsupported version of git ($gitver)" ;;
So this will break again with git version 1.9.x ... Better would be to allow all upcoming git versions. Or I'd simply eliminate the check, I never had problems with guilt and specific git versions and I use it for quite some years now. If there are git incompatibilities people should run into them and report bugs, so that these issues can be fixed.
yeah,maybe droping git version check is a good idea?and guilt 0.36 will do this -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
