I had a packagekitd crash this morning but still did not get any core file, despite: $ cat /proc/sys/kernel/core_pattern /var/tmp/cores/core.%e.%p.%t $ ls -ld /var/tmp/cores drwxrwxrwt 2 root root 4096 24 oct. 14:39 /var/tmp/cores $ grep core /etc/security/limits.conf # - core - limits the core file size (KB) * soft core unlimited $ ulimit -c unlimited $ The fact that it is so difficult to gather sufficient information to debug this is a problem per se. I don't expect the average user to try all the tricks I tried and not give up. If our average user can't report bugs, the quality of our product will decline quickly :( -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
