Can you try a vanilla (without SUSE patches) kernel from here please: ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/kernel/kotd/openSUSE-11.3/x86_64/kernel-vanilla.rpm and a Milestone 6 kernel I copied here (may take some hours until it shows up): ftp.suse.com/pub/people/trenn/milestone6_kernel/kernel-desktop-2.6.34-6.1.x86_64.rpm Best you install the kernels with rpm -ivh xy.rpm Eventually you need --force or --nodeps Then these kernels are installed additionally and you can remove them and/or switch back to the original kernel easily. Possibly you have to adjust the default entry in /boot/grub/menu.lst Best is you double check that you have booted the right kernel before doing the shutdown test with "uname -r". This should tell us: - whether this is a mainline regression introduced between 2.6.34-rc5 and rc7/final - whether it's really kernel related or whether some userspace modifications trigger this issue -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
