http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1004933 Bug ID: 1004933 Summary: BUG: unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at 0000000000000008 Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: x86-64 OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel Assignee: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: sebastian.kratz@piraten-ahoi.de QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created attachment 697537 --> http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/attachment.cgi?id=697537&action=edit complete dmesg this prevents me from booting. i've had the apparently terrible idea of putting attached edid in /lib/firmware a couple of weeks ago. if i unplug the monitor i can boot normally and X will detect the monitor on it's own when i replug it. this issue was apparently raised by udev, because i could boot the kernel 4.7.6-1-default before without problem, now i can't. uname -a Linux fxe 4.7.6-1-default
