I use only basic plugins like: - fade - minimise - present - cover switch so, no blur (I know it is problematic). This problems appeared after kwin started to fail selfcheck with nvidia hardware (when a workaround was made for selfcheck, so I could use effects again). Looking at kwin changelog, 2nd sept. was the biggest suspicious change introduced that might cause this (other than breaking also selfcheck): ---- Tue 02 Sep 2008 02:00:00 PM CEST llunak@suse.cz - switch to the kwin branch for 11.1 (e.g. bnc#418772) ---- I can reproduce this on nvidia 7600GT (binary driver) and radeon 9250SE (OSS drivers), using OpenGL backend with Texture form pixmap. It must be a kwin issue (or something in KDE), but probably it happens only on opensuse when using KDE 4.1.x from factory repo (those who confirmed are using opensuse): https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=170498 Precisely, this seems mostly to be happening (for me) when running opera (or maybe mostly reproducible), there were other issues as are described in linked bug, but seems to be fixed now. Prerequisites: - for successfull reproduction, install opera 9.5x - latest KDE 4.1.x from factory repo - opensuse 11? STEPS: 1. open opera, maximize window, navigate to a page - e.g. www.google.com 2. open another opera maximized window (ctrl+n) and navigate to different page, e.g. www.kde-apps.org 3. try to switch between those two windows, content should be broken on some areas Will also add some screenshots proving this. *NOTE: this is not opera issue, since it doesn't happen without effects, or when using compiz, but it is probably the easiest way to reproduce this. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
