I really like the proposed chameleon branding, and I've only heard praise for the proposed design. I also see no reason why we can't use other artwork in addition to the traditional chameleon logo. I suggest discussing this fully before ruining very popular designs.
I can not fully agree with the proposed solution since this problem goes back to the basics of branding. We have official branding, the official chameleon. Now suddenly since some people like the new design this time we should ask to drop the official branding? I think the discussion then should be why we have official branding. It is the whole concept how people recognize the distribution. The designs are subject to that, that is how branding works. Not other way around like I feel now is suggested. I propose to indeed discuss this issue, but start with making ground rules for branding. Then from there we can discuss how new designs can be implemented. Designing is a creative process, but is always done for a purpose. The purpose of branding is recognition, not changing designs because they look better. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
