You can see how it works fine. I release the mouse button and it stays there open. 00:40 - 01:25 Next you can see how I install the kdebase4-wallpapers package via YaST. 01:25 - 01:33 Now you have to look very carefully, the first click I try to click on the selection widget you can see how the dropdown box is visible for half a second or so. 01:35 - 01:50 The following clicks I do on that selection box are not recognizeable as such in the screencast. It looks like the mouse cursor just rests there. I think this is due to the lower framerate the screencast is recorded with. In reality, I did 10 clicks or so and often a fraction of the drop-down list was rendered for 0,1 seconds or so. 01:50 - At this point, I keep the left mouse button pushed down, so you can see this drop down list a bit longer. Later I just release the mouse button after I moved it over the drop down list. 02:29 - 02:34 At this point I moved the cursor over the scrollbar, while still holding down LMB. This allows me to scroll the list using the scrollbar. 02:50 At this point I uninstall the kdebase4-wallpapers package again. 03:30 The select box widget works as expected again. 03:45
From this point on, I do some test with the font selection box of the digital clock plasmoid configuration dialog. Which shows the same failures.
--------- Maybe you can also get someone with a Lenovo T60p ThinkPad using Beta1 and the radeonhd driver (just a default Beta1 installation using KDE4 as desktop). I know that some guys of you at Novell have this notebook.
