https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=716996 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=716996#c34 --- Comment #34 from Kiz Niz <kisron@gmail.com> 2012-02-04 01:19:04 UTC --- I am having the same issue where my alps / synaptics touchpad on my ACER ASPIRE 5740 is recognized as a PS/2 Generic Wheel Mouse. I have never been able to get the synaptiks tool to work for me since I bought this computer 2 years ago, and I have been using OpenSuSE 11.2, 11.4 and now 12.1. A fix would be greatly appreciated since I have been putting up with a non-configurable frustrating tap-to-click feature that I have been unable to disable after much research and tinkering.
