I just attempted to get the AC875 card to work in a D630 with 4GB of RAM with no success. If I remove 2GB of RAM from the system the card is identified properly. I just upgraded to BIOS ver A14. Not sure if it worked with previous version of BIOS. It appears as if this problem is not isolated to the D830.
Yeah, the D830 and D630 and are very similar systems, so I'm not surprised at the same results.
I know that I have said this before...
If I run SLED 10 SP2 on the same systems with or without 4GB of ram the card is recognized and all is well.
Somehow I had forgotten this point you made earlier about SLED10SP2 working (and by the way, your original comments on this were private so people outside Novell would not have seen them). All of these data points of which OS's work and which don't, and which systems work and which don't are only useful to get an idea of where the root issue is. However.... I know this bug is reported against openSUSE 11.0, BUT...If this works with SLED10SP2 and doesn't work with SLED11 (currently at beta 6) then this would be a regression and would warrant further investigation by Novell. On the other hand, if this works with SLED11, then it will most likely work with openSUSE 11.1, since they are nearly the same. Does anyone have time to try SLED11 Beta 6? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
