https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=896357 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=896357#c0 Summary: emacs-auctex depends on file_line_error_style to be set accordingly Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 13.1 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: dieter.jurzitza@t-online.de QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:31.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/31.0 When working with emacs auctex there is a prerequisite with regard to the error stlyle setting of TeX to get things to work properly. This issue is related to the file_line_error_style variable in /usr/share/texmf/web2c/texmf.cnf It should be set to "t" rather than "f" (the default), otherwise every error of TeX will end in an "Error after last TeX File closed" Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Generate TeX (LaTeX ...) document using auctex 2. Make an error :-) 3. Try to run TeX -> error message will pop up Actual Results: You will be told to press Strg-C ` to view the error, then you always get "Error after last TeX File closed". This is due to the mentioned setting in /usr/share/texmf/web2c/texmf.cnf Expected Results: Usuable error message information I guess this one would go to Dr. Werner Fink ....
