https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=178321 ------- Comment #54 from segedunum@actuaria.co.uk 2007-01-07 15:22 MST ------- For those looking for a workaround for the time being, I can confirm that Kay's method of changing the UDEV rule above: KERNEL=="dm-[0-9]*", OPTIONS+="ignore_device" Works consistently. I've been using this method for a number of months for a back up script I have whereby I have a number of VMware VMs. The script suspends the VMs, creates a LVM snapshot of the partition where they reside and mounts it, restarts the VMs, goes off and backs up the VMs from the snapshot and then unmounts and destroys the snapshot. If you are running some form of server, and you're not doing anything particularly dynamic with the devices on your system, then this should work for you. Otherwise, I've no idea what further effect this might have. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
