https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=222099#c2 Bernhard Kaindl <bk@novell.com> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|ASSIGNED |RESOLVED Resolution| |WORKSFORME --- Comment #2 from Bernhard Kaindl <bk@novell.com> 2007-10-11 06:55:52 MST --- This warning is fixed in upstream kino-1.1.0 But I think that we'll not release an reworked or updated non-security-upgrade for kino for old versions unless customers really demand it. That does not exclude that it would be nice to have builds of the latest kino available for all opensuse versions, but this is true for many packages and not specific to kino. This would be possible, but it would need to be requested by popular demand, which I did not see so far. Feel free to reopen this bug and to request the latest kino to be available. Note that there are patent complications: The latest kino includes a specially fixed version of ffmpeg which is a software package which is unfortunately heavvly threatened by software patent holders and making that part of a product would require expensive licensing negotiations and due to ffmpeg being free software, such negotiations would be next to impossible to succeed, so the only thing which we could do would be to do a stripped-down version without ffmpeg, but you rather want the full version, which you'd have to get from other sources anyway. Besides compiling and using kino-0.8.0 worked for me despite this warning. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
