I now checked the code and it does not look like there is a problem with the PM Timer. The fact that these three lines are printed means that when calibrating the TSC, the PIT and PM Timer calibration results were within 5% off each other. In case of a serious problem withe one of the timers, a different message would be printed. The fact that a different timer gets used for calibration on different boots does not really suggest anything is wrong with either of them. The kernel uses whichever returned a smaller value (meaning it was likely more accurate). The full dmesg mighe be useful, but I don't suspect the timers. Furthermore, the TSC is then not used for timekeeping anyway, so the calibration is not really important. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
