Symptoms are the same: X is frozen, no response to keyboard events (CTRL+ALT+F1 or whatever), system is only accessible from the outside. When logged in through the network, I have noticed that there is no CPU activity worth mentioning, so if this is an infinite loop, it does not run continuously. I noticed that similar freezes often occur when using LibreOffice Impress or Draw. There definitely seem to be a correlation here. On average I'd say that similar freezes occur once every few days to a week. Here are some data ------------------ * I'm using a Lenovo T420 * Hybrid graphics Intel + nVidia Optimus (though nVidia is switched off in BIOS) * openSUSE 12.1 /var/log/Xorg.0.log ------------------- [164856.536] [mi] EQ overflowing. The server is probably stuck in an infinite loop.
