In 12.1 there were 14 options: Scan Using SLP, Community Repositories, Specify URL, FTP, HTTP, HTTPS, SMB/CIFS, NFS, CD, DVD, Hard Disk, USB Stick or Disk, Local Directory andLocal ISO Image What I'm especially missing is the option Scan Using SLP.
