https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=223037 Summary: printer configuration lost after update Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Beta 2 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: Printing AssignedTo: jsmeix@novell.com ReportedBy: suse-beta@cboltz.de QAContact: jsmeix@novell.com After updating from 10.1 to 10.2 beta2, the printer configuration is completely lost. Symptoms: - no printer available in applications - no printer listed in YaST2 - printer /etc/cups has no printers.conf and no printcap file (only *.rpmsave) I will attach fresh y2logs. If you need logs from the system upgrade, you can find them on www.cboltz.de/tmp/, filename y2logs-packagemanager-after-systemanalyse.tgz (too big for bugzilla). I will also attach a tarball of /etc/cups/ before doing any changes in the printer configuration. (Sorry for reporting this that late - it's the first time I had to print something with 10.2 betaX ;-) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
